NAMI Green County Walks 2014 Group

Trevor’s Team from NAMI Green County participated in its 10th walk in October of 2018. By the end of November 2018, the totals were in and the team had raised over $10,000. In a shared revenue agreement with NAMI Dane County who hosts the annual walk, the revenue is shared equally. The day was cold and rainy and although over 50 participants had signed up to walk, not all made it to the event, but still donated financially. Team walkers received donations from over 175 sources, including friends and family. The team has several members who have walked every year. This was a record year...the first over $10,000. NAMI Green County also
received several other donations through Facebook donations under “Network 4 Good” and donations made in memory of Maximillian Montgomery who lost his battle with depression and mental illness earlier this year. Thank you to all for your generous support!

Plans this year include stipends for backfilling law enforcement vacancies for those who will be attending “Crisis Intervention Team” training in June of this year. A scholarship is also available for students in Green County who are choosing a career in mental health.
